Travel Day: Charlottesville to Fairfax, VA

ODOMETER: 78,048 | MILES TRAVELED: 109

by Grant

We awoke in the warm and cozy confines of Thelma and did our final runs to the house and storage. Stand-up paddle boards loaded, bikes on the rack and the Jeep hitched to the back of the bus, we finally hit the highway mid-afternoon and headed north.

First stop, Northern Virginia for a catch up with Maggie, the kids’ beloved babysitter from when they were little, and now a great friend to all the Gamble Family. We parked in a Walmart parking lot for the night for an easy drive to a Monday morning orthodontist appointment to have Jack and Ellie’s braces removed and complete the fresh start.
