Travel Diary

Travel

Please note that the focus of our blog is not to be a travel guide or a review site. Rather, it is a family diary of our travels accompanied by “Reflections,” which are thought pieces about our experiences.

As we are currently living on a sail boat in French Polynesia, our internet access is quite limited and we are unable to post daily diary entries. You can visit our social media channels for short updates and we will be posting recaps and reflections of longer time periods less frequently.

Thanks for traveling with us! ?✌️

We flew to Sydney to see our favorite stand up comedian, Hannah Gadsby’s latest show, “Body of Work,” at the Sydney Opera House. It just so happens that both Hannah and the Opera House were on our bucket list, and the show was being filmed as Hannah’s third Netflix special. If you are not familiar with her work, we highly recommend both “Nanette” and “Douglas,” Hannah’s first two Netflix specials. Then there is “Ten Steps to Nanette,” Hannah’s NYT best-selling book which is one of the most groundbreaking memoirs I’ve ever read. The world needs more Hannahs, period. ...

Fraser's magic is composed of many environments, including the oldest sand dunes in the world, perched dune lakes including both clear "white water" lakes and dark "black water" lakes; banksia woodlands, heath, patterned swampy fens and sheltered mangrove areas. It's the only sand island in the world to have rainforest growing on it, giant trees growing right out of the sand. ...
