It’s Christmas Eve and we have decided to head back to Barefoot Beach.

The walk to the inlet at the bottom of Barefoot Beach is lovely and shady. It’s a little less than a mile each way and we enjoy the time to walk and talk.

It is really windy and we’d hoped to paddle on the beach, but end up flying the kite instead. Jack and Jana give it a whirl, it’s really windy and the kite can lift a person off the ground. Eventually we decided it was best to pack it in as it continued to gust over 20mph and Jana and I went for a swim. When we got into the water, we spotted a dolphin pod about 30 feet away. It was awesome to see them crossing the inlet!

Wind, sun, salt and sand are all awesome, and tiring. We head back to the RV and Jana finishes the wrapping, does some cooking for tomorrow and I put together a simple barbecue dinner. It’s Christmas Eve so we decide to

watch “Rise of the Guardians” as our Christmas movie. It’s a great movie with lots of great lessons encapsulated in it.

We all crawl into bed excited to be together tomorrow for Christmas.

When we got into the water, we spotted a dolphin pod about 30 feet away.
